The word of the month is #FAITH but the question is where do you place your faith? Is it in God or in the piece of paper that “rules” many of us in this life called money?
Hebrews 13:5 says “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
But we live in the culture of “Money over everything.” Money is not evil, it is a tool but to love money is to create an idol out of something that truly holds no eternal weight or merit.
Matthew 6:24 says that “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”
You have to make a choice. You can’t straddle the fence.
Remember that 1 Timothy 6:10 says that “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
What happened to faith in God? Money has become your god through the altar of worry.
Matthew 6:33 says “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
This is why Hebrews 11:6 says “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
If you truly believed God, you’d already know that Philippians 4:19 says “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Seek the Most High & let God be your all in all, the Great “I AM”. Amen.
